If you’re a webmaster in the adult industry, you’ve probably notice that affiliate marketing has gotten less and less profitable as the rise of free porn occurs. Nobody wants to pay for their adult content anymore when they can simply log onto their favorite tube site and get it for free. Yes, you do still get commissions, but they’ve definitely ramped down over the years. Luckily, live camming is different.
Live Camming Is “Real” Amateur Porn
You’ll noticed that amateur porn is in right now and the industry has taken notice! There’s tons of studios out there that have tried to fake being homemade. These studios shoot their content in POV with lower quality production equipment. This has fooled many viewers for a while now, but they’re starting to get wise to the scheme.

Live camming offers an interactive element that isn’t possible with your favorite porn tube site. People go to camming sites instead of porn sites to interact with the real amateur girls. Some people even log on just to see specific girls. This is an element that studio produced porn will never be able to compete with and something that people are willing to pay for.
Recruit Customers *AND* Models!
Many of the camming affiliate programs also offer webcam model referral programs. These model referral programs will usually pay commission for qualified models or a revshare on all model earnings. This is something unique to camming. You won’t find Pornstar Referral Programs for adult paysites.
This gives you a wider range of audience to appeal to. You can market the program to both customers and models. Whether you target models specifically or simply place a Models Wanted link in the footer of web properties, you can make a lot of money through referring webcam models.
Whitelabeled Camming Sites – Turnkey Websites!
Although there are other adult sites that you can whitelabel (primarily dating or sex shops) whitelabeling is incredibly popular in the camming niche. Pretty much every camming site offers up a whitelabel to webmasters. If you don’t know what a whitelabel is, it’s where you rebrand someone else’s product (in this case a camming site) and get a share of the revenue generated by it. Simply register a domain, set the nameservers, configure your whitelabeled camming site and your version will appear on the domain you specify.
Disadvantages To Camming Affiliate Programs
Even though there’s so many advantages to promoting camming affiliate programs over traditional paysites, there are some disadvantages as well. Here are some of the flaws of being a camming webmaster.
Lack Of Content To Use For Promotion
The biggest flaw of camming affiliate programs. Most sites will give you tons of promotional banners, but without having content to use to build up a niche site, how does one expect a webmaster to drive traffic? It would be help if there was pre-recorded cam shows, photo zip sets or more.
Webmasters can reach out to individual models and try to coordinate on building up a site, but that’s a time consuming process and most models aren’t too eager to partner with someone they don’t know. Webmasters can grab the embed codes from tube sites with recorded webcam shows uploaded to it, but if these are pirated movies, they could be taken down due to a DMCA compliant, leaving your site with tons of broken video embeds.
A webmaster could create a traditional adult niche site and simply attempt to monetize the traffic through camming programs. This does work, but we all know that if we can match niche traffic with niche offers, the conversion rates are better. Therefore, if it was easier for webmasters to build legit camming niche sites it would be much more profitable.

If you’re attempting to create a model directory site, this can become a huge issue. Models come and go. Even if the model is successful and likes camming, everyone retires eventually. If you’re running a camming model directory site, this can leave your site with tons of broken links. This creates a poor user experience and hurts conversion.
